Welcome!

Jacqueline Garcia, MS, AMFT

Hi I’m Jacqueline Garcia, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I received both my B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Family Studies and my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Northridge. I believe that everyone is the author of their own story and that everyone's individual differences make up one's unique experiences. I like to work collaboratively and transparently as this helps create authentic and genuine relationships in the therapy room. I hope that through our work together I can create a space that feels safe, makes you feel seen, heard and a place where you can be your genuine self.

I work from a strength based approach where I utilize compassion and meeting my clients where they are at as the starting point of one's healing journey. I believe that everyone can get through the fog but sometimes it takes a little light to help you make your way through.

Therapy is not a one size fits all and because of this I utilize a wide range of therapeutic aspects from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy and more. Because everyone who walks into the therapy room is unique and comes in with their own experiences, being able to use a wide range of therapeutic tools supports the ability to tailor each individual's treatment plan and personalize their therapeutic journey.

I have a passion for working with children, teens, adults, and couples and with each client I provide trauma informed care that is cultural, neurodivergent and identity-affirming. Whether it's life transitions, anxiety, depressions, maternal mental health, parenting etc. My door is open to those who want to begin writing the next chapter of their story.

Sometimes it's hard to see that you already have the power within you and it's there, all I have to do is hold the mirror.
