Sue Park, LCSW, SEP

Sue is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a clinical supervisor at Honest Insight Counseling. Additionally, she serves as a mental health clinician at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine-Behavioral Wellness Center. She earned her master’s in social work from the University of Michigan and has been licensed to practice independently in California since 2014.

Over the course of her career spanning a decade, Sue has provided individual and group therapy in diverse treatment settings, including the Adult Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, UCLA Behavioral Health Services, and the Koreatown Youth & Community Center. Sue is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). In her sessions, she employs a range of treatment modalities, drawing from her completed training programs in CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP), tailoring the approach based on the specific needs of each client.

Sue specializes in supporting individuals navigating diverse challenges, including trauma, mood disorders, and significant life transitions. Her dedication stems from a commitment to a holistic approach to healing, recognizing the intricate connection between the mind, body and soul. Sue’s objective is to establish an inclusive and nonjudgmental space, fostering an environment where clients can authentically embrace their true selves. She strives to create a collaborative framework that deeply acknowledges and understands clients, aiming to make them feel seen, heard, and acknowledged.
