Welcome!

Maria Rangel, MA, AMFT

Hi there! My name is Maria and I am an associate marriage and family therapist that integrates attachment work with DBT. I combine research-backed behavioral interventions with a warm, relational approach to help individuals, couples, and families heal and grow through the development of effective coping skills, relational skills, and communication skills. I'm passionate about helping others learn how to heal within relationships by resolving conflicts, practice/implementing effective coping mechanisms, and navigating through life's challenges. I am bilingual in Spanish/English, specialize in complex trauma and PTSD, living with chronic illness and pain, grief and loss, and religious deconstruction. I am also passionate about working with BIPOC and offer sex-positive, LQGBTQ+ affirming care.

As someone who places great importance on attunement and the complexities of childhood and relational trauma, I seek to create a warm, compassionate, and inclusive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and belief systems. I believe that some of the most profound healing can be done within relationships, given that we as humans are wired for connection. I'm here to support you throughout your journey, as you work towards healing, self-discovery, and growth.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better! I hope I get the opportunity to get to know you too. If you're looking for a therapist who is warm, dedicated, and passionate about helping you on your journey towards healing, I'm here for you.
